What is it: The 6 Sigma Analysis Template is a calculator that estimates the return on a 6 Sigma project with reductions in defects produced from corresponding sigma improvements. This will estimate whether the 6 Sigma project is feasible to start with.
Why use it: To prevent unnecessary costs to the company with only minor dollar savings achieved through 6 Sigma implementation. When to use it: At the start of a 6 Sigma project when current assumptions such as number of existing defects are know. How to use it: The template has been designed that key data such as number of good parts, defects, price per part are entered, the template will than complete cost analysis for all sigma improvement intervals and illustrate savings made to the bottom line through each increase in improvements.
